This week, Emirates shared with all trade partners that they assume no distribution agreement will be in place with Sabre and Abacus effective July 1st, 2021.

Emirates’ current contract with Sabre is set to expire on 30th June 2021. There have been on-going discussions over the past year to align on terms and conditions, similar to agreements reached with other GDSs. If no agreement is reached by this date, Emirates content will no longer be available in the Sabre GDS and travel sellers will have to explore other options to access and sell Emirates flights and ancillaries.

If you’re a travel seller, connecting to Duffel allows you to benefit from not only Emirates’ content, but more than 20+ major airlines. This means instead of connecting directly with each airline individually, you can access all airlines in one simple integration. And if you’re already connected to Duffel, getting Emirates content requires no additional coding - just a click of a button.

Our developer-first approach means that you can make your first booking with our API within minutes and finish your integration in days, instead of spending months per airline. Our API documentation is 100% public and getting access to the sandbox is fast and simple so you can immediately start experimenting.

You can still connect to Duffel even if you aren't an IATA/ARC accredited travel agent. Duffel’s global network of travel agencies enables you to leverage our agency infrastructure so you can start selling flights quickly. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
