Jetstar Group is one of the largest low-cost airline groups in the Asia-Pacific region by revenue and carried more than 30 million passengers in 2019. The new partnership allows Duffel travel sellers to access competitive fares across a wide variety of routes, including cities in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Fiji, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Japan.
Introducing Jetstar
Jetstar Group includes Jetstar Airways in Australia and New Zealand, Jetstar Asia based in Singapore and Jetstar Japan based in Tokyo.
With over 5,000 flights a week, Jetstar flies to 58 destinations in 18 countries and territories across the Asia-Pacific region. It operates a fleet of more than 100 aircraft, including Airbus A320-200, Airbus A321 and Boeing 787-8.
Servicing the leisure market, Jetstar aims to have the lowest fares on all the routes it operates where customers only pay for what they need. Travellers can choose between two types of fares – Economy or Business, and have the option to add a bundle of extras, which can include checked baggage, seat selection, in-flight products, fare flexibility, or lounge access.
In AirlineRatings.com’s annual Airline Excellence Awards, Jetstar has been voted Best Low-Cost Airline for 2021 in the Asia-Pacific region. Jetstar Airways also received 'Best Low-Cost Airline – Australia/Pacific' by Skytrax consecutively for the last ten years.
Revenue-generating opportunities through Jetstar’s API programme
The new partnership provides Duffel customers with access to Jetstar’s famous low fares, fare bundles and a range of baggage and seating options, on Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar Japan (GK). Duffel’s range of Jetstar fares and unbundled ancillary products is more extensive than through GDS and at more competitive prices.
